Check out the Daylite and Billings Pro sections of Marketcircle’s website for more information and to start your free trial. Try Daylite & Billings Pro for Freeīoth Daylite and Billings Pro are available now for OS X and iOS, with a free 30 Day Trial to make sure that they’re the right tools for your business and needs. Once linked, accessing any one component optionally shows all other linked components, which helps you gather, review, and analyze information without having to jump between apps or menus. For example, users can link certain notes and call logs to a specific contact, link calendar appointments and tasks to a certain project, and link people to companies and projects to help track work history and referrals. The native app format also allows Daylite to integrate tightly with OS X, which lets users import emails, create new contacts, schedule appointments, and delegate tasks all from within apps like Apple Mail, Calendar, and Reminders.īut perhaps the best Daylite feature is linking, which lets users virtually organize almost any stored information by “linking” it together in the Daylite interface. Daylite can organize your contacts, calendars, tasks, notes, emails, projects, and business opportunities, allowing freelancers or small businesses to track and coordinate all aspects of managing their business from a single place, maximizing your ability to meet the needs of both you and your customers.Īs a native app instead of a Web-based service, Daylite syncs to the cloud but maintains local copies of your data, ensuring that you and your team always have access to the information you need to make your business run, even when an Internet connection is unavailable. Daylite is a productivity app for the Mac, iPhone, and iPad that combines CRM, project management, to-do functionality, and more. With the addition of a few more features - such as commission payment tracking, being able to more easily handle large client numbers, and being able to issue receipts - Billings Pro would appeal to a much larger user-base.If Billings Pro is the ultimate app for making sure you or your small business gets paid, Daylite is the ultimate app for helping your business satisfy your customers and clients so that they’ll want to pay you. If your requirements go beyond this, then you will not be satisfied. No facilities to track payable commissions - a major requirement for many businesses nowadays, who work alongside referring partners and affiliates.Īlthough it has some rather useful and well-developed features, the program is really only useful for consultants issuing sporadic invoices to a handful of active clients. If you have several hundred clients in your books that require regular invoicing, you'll find it unusable. Extremely poor interface for handling large numbers of clients - if you have any more than a couple of dozen active accounts at any given time, you'll struggle. Recurring invoices, as well as pre-payments (retainers) are handled with ease.Ĭons: impossible to fathom why a program that allows a user to issue detailed quotes and invoices and carefully track payments, does NOT allow the user to issue receipts - the program has no function at all for doing receipts. Good tools for time-tracking work hours, for lone freelancers as well as for work teams. Allows company to host their data in their own servers, instead of forcing users to use their public cloud solution. Pros: relatively easy to customize built-in designs and produce great-looking invoices. Great app, but with more updates, online payment facility, and a functioning user forum, this could be amazing! I don't mind the subscription model, as it's tiered to suit the various users, but I do feel like Marketcircle have abandoned this no update since 2016, discontinued user forum, and no real online presence of any update activity. The biggest problem for me is the invoicing system there's no function for online payments and no ability to add a payment button. There's a whole new world to learn to get this to do the things you want. The invoicing system is powerful, but very difficult to change things to suit. It seems to be server based now, which can take a while to start, or in my case, sometimes needs restarted to get it to work. It's got a nice user interface and most things are fairly obvious. It's simple to get started and there appears to be a fair bit of power there when you need it.
